Generations ago, humans retreated deep underground after an environmental disaster ruined the world above. Now they live in a perfectly regulated, artificial environment in which, among other things, childbirth is carefully controlled. They manage the realities of their existence with computer chip implants and narcotics. Yet into this world Anna and Oliver want to bring a child. Anna battles depression, yet is unwilling to participate in the escapist behavior of her culture. When Oliver gives her a robot as a therapy tool, he hopes to help her heal. This FHU Theatre production features senior theatre majors Grace Sykes and Trenton Sweeney in the principal roles and MK Miller as scenic designer. Directed by R. Cliff Thompson.
