Natalie Zhu, Henry Kramer, HASHI Duo and more Description
We start the program with Ginastera and end with Piazzolla, both from Argentina. While Ginastera drew inspiration from folk music of his native country and provided listeners with a glimpse into the unique sounds and rhythms of Argentina, Piazzolla on the other hand, revolutionized the genre by infusing it with elements of jazz and classical music. In between these two composers, we have Marvin Camacho, one of the great Costa Rican living composers; and French composer Maurice Ravel, whose “Alborada del gracioso” is a lively and colorful piece that showcases his ability to evoke the spirit of Spanish music, and adding a touch of elegance and sophistications to the program.
