Spring Alpha Merit Badge University (AMBU), hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Eta Lambda Chapter, is a premier Scouting event designed to provide advancement opportunities, leadership development, and mentorship for Scouts, particularly those from underserved communities.

Taking place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Morehouse College, this transformative event will offer seven Eagle-required merit badge classes, led by expert merit badge counselors dedicated to ensuring Scouts receive quality instruction and guidance.

A key highlight of AMBU is the Real Talk Panel, where Scouts will engage in candid discussions with Eagle Scouts from diverse backgrounds, including a Black female Eagle Scout and professionals across multiple industries. This panel fosters mentorship, inspiration, and insight into the long-term impact of earning the Eagle Scout rank.

Additionally, the Spring AMBU will feature:

• CPR & First Aid Certification (optional for Scouts)
• Step/Stroll Exhibition by college fraternities and sororities during lunch
• A community service project supporting the unhoused community
• Opportunities for Scouts to complete critical requirements needed for advancement

Since its inception in 2023, Alpha Merit Badge University has experienced significant growth, expanding its reach and impact on hundreds of Scouts annually. By keeping registration costs affordable, AMBU ensures equitable access to educational and leadership experiences that empower the next generation of leaders.
