PSC Performing Arts Department Description
"Crimes of the Heart" is a Pulitzer-Prize Winning tragicomedy by American playwright Beth Henley. Set in Hazlehurst, Mississippi in the mid-20th century, "Crimes of the Heart" relates the story of the three Magrath sisters, who are back together in their hometown for the first time in a decade. Under the scorching heat of the Mississippi sun, past resentments bubble to the surface and each sister must come to terms with the consequences of her own “crimes of the heart. NOTE: This will be the first PSC Theatre production to be presented in the new Ashmore Black Box Theatre. This intimate, in-the-round space will be set up on the Ashmore stage and will feature genernal admission seating for up to 112 patrons. A wall will be erected to separate the stage/black box space from the regular auditorium seating. |
