Description
Benedictine College Department of Theatre and Dance presents "A Night of Caryl Churchill"! This show features two of her one-act plays: ESCAPED ALONE, directed by senior Sara Gushue, and HEART'S DESIRE, directed by Hazel Conder. Get caught in an absurd and hilarious cycle as a couple bickers on repeat while waiting for their daughter to return home. Are a group of elderly women just shooting the breeze during an afternoon tea or soothsayers of something apocalyptic occurring outside their garden? Caryl Churchill is one of the most prolific and perhaps the most influential female playwright of the last 100 years. Known for her wicked wit and how her plays deal with heavy issues through humor, these two plays are no exception. Items Not Allowed
