Epic Horizons Epic Horizons will close out our 75th concert season and feature guest violinist, Aubree Oliverson. Guests will enjoy a flashy concert utilizing our large orchestra full of fireworks to end on a high note and close the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra’s 75th season. To begin the evening, we will hear Beethoven’s Gratulations-Menuet, WoO 3, that begins beautiful and elegant before ending on a strong and cheerful note. Joining the WSO to perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, young American violinist, Oliverson, is proving to be one of the most compelling artists of her generation, distinguishing herself with clear, honest, and colorful performances, which have been described as “powerful… brimming with confidence and joy” by the Miami New Times. To end the evening, and the 75th season, the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra will perform Sibelius’ Symphony No. 5. The three-movement piece begins with a waltz-like section before visiting variations on a theme of the flute before ending in a rapid melody.
