You've got an idea and are thinking of creating a play - so how do you turn it into a script? THEN what do you do? Join us for insights on how to take your idea to the stage! Discover the tips and tricks to writing a successful script, from plot lines, story arcs, character development and endings. You'll find something fun and interesting no matter how far you are in the process of writing your own script!

Class 3: Workshopping a Script: Wednesdays July 9, 16, 28, 30 : 1pm - 3pm

Join us as we take a new script, written by a local artist, and learn the ropes of workshopping a script. We'll teach you the ins and outs of how to give feedback and how to take it. How to give notes, do the re-writes, what questions to ask and how to work the script to bring it to the stage. In fact, this script, once we finish the workshop will be produced by the Rec Centers and be performed! From auditions to performance at the Stardust Theatre in October 2025.

Class 4: Stage Manager 101 Series: Thursdays, July 10, 17, 24, 31: 1pm - 3pm

From beginning to end how to stage manage any kind of show on a stage! We'll teach you what you need to do, when to do it and how it should be done. Learn all the specifics to make being a Stage Manager easy and organized. Complete outline, notes, practical work and details on what you need and how to apply it to a show.

Class 5: Directing Basics: Thursdays August 7, 14, 21, 28 : 1pm - 3pm

You have a script, you love the story, now what? Let us guide you through the process of Directing! You'll learn how to dissect a script, communicate with your team, determine what you want for Auditions, how to create a schedule, how to run Reharsals and give feedback and notes to your cast and crew, how thow to develop your costuming, set and props needs and how to get a show on the stage!
